Gerald Howlsvorth believes that we aren't the main characters of our lives. Instead, he sees the world as the protagonist, while our lives are the supporting cast whose roles involve shaping, guiding, hurting, protecting, and often destroying. Yet, that doesn't make us any less important, for the world is a traveler, and we are its journey.
Howlsvorth grew up in a family where every penny mattered, leaving a subsidized library membership as his only recreation. At times, he found himself cursing his circumstances, especially when surrounded by children from affluent families whose parents showered them with fancy toys. However, it was this unfortunate circumstance that gave birth to his deep love for storytelling.
Up until his university days, Gerald had no formal education in creative writing. Instead, his education came from absorbing the crafts of the masters such as Tolkien, Brontë, Tolstoy, Poe, to name a few and his ultimate inspiration, H.P. Lovecraft.
After working for many years as a playwright for interactive theater and as a progressive metal music producer, Gerald decided it was time to take his humble beginnings further. He picked up his pen to bring life to one of the many worlds long concealed within his imagination. Today, he writes not for the main characters, but for the journeys that honor the worlds.
If you would follow me, I shall indeed be very happy...
